I love making things! I love art! I love staring into the abyss that is my brain and being terribly frightened by the images that I see. I love the paint that stains my hands and doesn't wash off for days.
Though not formally trained in the art of painting. I have been making art for as long as I can remember. I have degrees in Marketing and Graphic Design. I have a Press Technician degree. I have many other certificates and pieces of paper that says that I can do things. I was active duty in the Army and received an Honorable discharge. Art helps me to deal with some of the darkness in my mind. Which is why we have started A.I.M. Art is Medicine and Education Center.
Upon my initial release from the Military, I met the love of my life who not only makes me want to become a better person but who supports my crazy dreams. I started my life as a "Sign Guy" working on those crazy billboards, giant boxes on sticks and eye sores attached to the buildings. Then in 2005 things took a turn and I was called back into the Army and put on "stop loss". Those were dark times However, I made it thru and I survived. Some of my friends didn't.
I owe it to those who left this earth sooner than they were supposed to.

Sometimes when you are painting, you cover up greatness.
Thinking of an old time dirt floor honky tonk.
To be able to do this for a living has got to be a dream come true.
When the art tells you what to do.
Listening to the painting.
I let the art dry for a day and then I poured the two part epoxy resin on only certain areas to make them just glow in the light. This artwork was entered in the 78th juried exhibition at the Neville Public Museum. Located in the "On Broadway" district in Green Bay Wisconsin.
This piece was purchased by the museum for their private collection to be a part of rotating exhibits.
just that squeeze of the neon yellow acrylic straight from the tube did the trick.
adding a glow to the skull to let it pop a bit more but there is still something missing.
Adding more layers and effects with spray paint and lettering enamel.
I used my mothers childhood acoustic guitar as a template for the guitar portion of this piece.
I wanted to create a piece with a skull on the lower third with a crack in it. I had not much in mind aside from the skull at this point.
